I believe that all humans have an innate propensity to heal themselves.

My role is to collaborate with individuals in uncovering and addressing the obstacles that stand in the way of their most authentic, liberated selves.

My approach

As a psychotherapist and meditation teacher, I aim to create spaces where people feel safe, heard, and supported amidst life's challenging moments. My approach combines traditional psychology and Eastern philosophy with practical problem-solving to help individuals overcome life’s sticky junctures and move toward growth, ease, and clarity. Drawing from my international background and family history in mental healthcare, I am fascinated with how cultural contexts shape our everyday experiences. My therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic theory, with a strong consideration of attachment patterns, emotional literacy and expression, cultural influences, and relationship to others and self. I weave in evidence-based methods including ACT, DBT, mindfulness practices, and parts work.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, painful life transitions, or tender relationship patterns, I am committed to working collaboratively with you to help you understand your needs and find a clear path forward. Let's explore what healing looks like for you.

Academic & Professional Background

I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology after studying Psychology, Public Health, and French Studies at Santa Clara University. After graduation, I worked as a technical recruiter in Los Angeles before pursuing my true calling in mental health. My clinical training spans diverse settings: I provided therapy to children and families at San Fernando Child & Family Center, supported women in reintegration programs through DBT groups, and worked with adults facing serious mental illness at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services. At USC's Counseling Center, I provided therapy to university students. My research and practice focus heavily on suicide prevention and risk assessment, supported by six years as a crisis hotline volunteer and certifications in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Disaster Distress Response.

Since returning to my hometown of Santa Barbara, I work in private practice under Dr. Ari Goldstein's supervision, seeing individuals, couples, and families. I also teach meditation twice weekly on Zoom and lead retreats through Mindful Heart Programs, incorporating mindfulness practices inspired by teachers like Tara Brach, Kristin Neff, and my mother, Radhule Weininger.
